Good Presence at this week's ICALEPCS Meeting in Melbourne

During the last week, the 15th International Conference on Accelerator and Large Experimental Control Systems conference has been held in Melbourne, Australia at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. 400 delegates attended from around the world. It was jointly hosted by the Australian Synchrotron and ANSTO. The Program Committee was chaired by our own Nick Hauser.

There was strong participation from experts around the world with a number of new institutes participating which improved the level of diversification of the conference. Parallel sessions were limited to one day so as to encourage overall participation at the main plenary session.

To quote conference chair Lou Corvetti, "This has been a great example of the Australian Synchrotron and ANSTO working together to deliver an outcome that impacts the wider control-systems community, and has also contributed to a collaborative working relationship between the two organisations, that will have a positive impact in the future".
